Spiders in his ear
At Halloween, a news story reminded me of an old Lights Out episode. Now a news story about a boy who discovered spiders living in his ear reminds me of a ludicrous (but memorable) old Night Gallery episode, The Caterpillar," with Laurence Harvey as a guy who suffers an earwig munching around in his head ...

That was probably the singlemost creepy Night Gallery episode ever. Years later, when I ran into a bunch of earwigs while shucking some corn, and then the damned things proved hard to kill -- you smash them and they get up and skitter away -- I kept thinking about that episode, saying, "That can't really happen that way, can it? No, it can't really..."
